Excursion to Hill RAi??p
The best-known Czech hill and it is one of the central locations in Czech history and it is visible for miles around.
At its peak stands the Romanesque St. George Rotunda dated from the 11th century.
According to the legend the primal father Cech (Czech) brought his folk to RAi??p and settled here thanks to the fertile land. The top of this basalt bell-shaped mountain was probably the cult place in the earliest times, as show the ceramic findings from the primeval and medieval times. During good weather even Prague is visible ( 40 km).
